To --- Wilson [1]

Mr. Wilson: Springfield Illinois January 1851

Take care of this boy until to-morrow, or longer if the weather is bad, and send the bill to me. A. LINCOLN.

Annotation

[1]   Tracy, p. 45. The boy is identified by Tracy as ``Gilbert J. Greene, who set type in the New York Tribune office.'' The originals of this note and the one to Wallace (infra) have not been found.
