[1]   AD, DNA RG 233 HR89 30A. Lincoln gave notice of the bill December 20, 1847 and introduced it on January 17, 1848. On February 9, 1848, Representative Linn Boyd of Kentucky, of the Committee on Military Affairs, reported the bill, and on his motion it was tabled.
