My object in trou[bling you] with this is to procure a contract of the [?] Surveying. You are favourably known by ma[ny promin]ent citizens of this city, and, in case you [shall be] disposed toPage  253 treat my application favourably, I will procure any sort of recommendation from them that you may require. [2] Yours with respect
