- Fragment A is a long narrow piece of yellowed woven wool fabric with two other, very similar fabrics (B & C) attached by sewing. All three fragments have a 0.5 cm wide blue weft band.

- Two rows of stitches were used to secure the two smaller pieces to fragment A in a “flat felled seam”. Most are running stitches andare visible from only one side of the fabric. The stitches measure from 0.3 cm to 0.7 cm long. An extra row of overcast stitches along fragment B is visible from both sides. There is an overhand knot at one end of this section. The stitches measure from 0.4 cm to 1 cm long.
