Liberate to Richard de Munbiliard 80 marks arrears for the 34th and 35th years of his yearly fee of 40 marks. Liberate to the master and brethren of the hospital of St. Mary of the Teutons 40 marks for Easter term in the 37th year of the 40 marks which they receive yearly of the king's fixed alms. Allocate to William de Bello Campo, sheriff of Worcester, in the issues of that county, 40 marks delivered to G. de Langele in the 32nd year to maintain himself in the king's service. To the sheriff of Northampton. Contrabreve to salt 4 stags and 4 bucks without delay which Robert de Mares will take in the forest of Salsey and deliver, and to carry them to the king against the coming Whitsuntide. May 26. To the sheriff of Devon. Contrabreve to pay 501. of the king's Windsor. gift without delay to W. bishop of Bath and Wells, going on the king's errand beyond seas. To the bailiffs of Bristol. Gloucester Windsor. while he was sheriff, 41. 10s. spent in maintenance of two hostages in Gloucester castle from Michaelmas in the 33rd year to Michaelmas in the 34th year at ld. each daily, 63s. for the like from the last-named date for 36 weeks till the feast of St. Kenelm following, 30s. spent on their robes and shoes during that time, and 24s. spent in sending lampreys, salmon, and shad (alosis) to the king in Lent in the 34th year; in the issues of his bailiwick while he was the king's bailiff in West Wales, 371. 16s. spent in wages of 4 mounted serjeants-at-arms keeping the castle of Gilgaran in war-time from the Purification in the 30th year for 27 weeks till the feast of St. Laurence following at 12d. each daily. 371. 16s. spent in wages of 24 footmen on like duty at 2d. each daily, 181. 18s. spent in wages of 2 mounted serjeants-at-arms keeping the castle of Pembroke during the same time, 151. 15s. spent in wages of 10 footmen in garrison in the same castle during that time at 2d. each daily, and 401. spent in keeping the castle of Haerford for two years; and in the issues of the bishopric of St. David's while void and in the king's keeping, 161. 16s. spent in 9-(22)
