(in nomenclature of the North Amer. Flora, Prunulus inconspicuus). Published in Mycologia, volume for 1927.
Pileus up to 7 mm. broad when fully expanded, broadly campanulate, with a rounded disk, brownish-ochracious, becoming paler with age and toward the margin (there almost white); latter straight from the first and striate, the striations conspicuous and reaching almost to the disk. Surface moist but not viscid, glabrous disk hygrophanous. Flesh so thin as to appear merely membranous. Lamellae subdistant, unequal, white, broad (for their size), rounded and ascending toward the stem, where they are adnexed; edges entire, not colored. Stipe delicate, about 1.5 - 1.7 cm. long, 1.5 - 2 mm. thick, usually curved, equal or slightly thicker below, white but not shining, finely pubescent under hand-lens, cartilaginous, tubular.
Spores smooth, elliptical, one end somewhat truncate, uniguttulate, slightly pinkish within, 4.8 x 7.7 microns. Near M. minutissima Murrill and M. paupercula Berk., but neither.
