U. S. NAVA. LTRAINING CAMP
Seattle, Washington
October 23, 1918.
From: Medical Officer.
To: Dr. Henry Suzzalo, President, University of Wash-ingt on
Via: Commanding Officer. Seattle, Washington.
Subject: Tratsfer of Patients from Clarke and Lewis Halls.
1. In conformity with my agreement of yesterday, I have had
all members of the Naval Unit ill with influenza removed from
Clarke Hall, and will today have all such patients removed from
Lewis Hall to the Naval Training Camp, where they will hereafter
be cared for. This will leave fourteen beds immediately
available in Lewis Hall for members of the Army Unit, or others
whom you may wish to send there, and there will be an increasing
number of beds available at this place due toi the fact that
many of the pneumonia cases are convalescent and will soon be
able to return to Camp.
2. Very few new pneumonia cases are now occurring at the Camp,
and it is believed that within a few days practically all of
the space at Lewis Hall, together with the Doctors and Nurses now
on duty there, will be available for University patients.
