Printed on stereocard back: "Views of the booths as shown in the Author's Carnival, held in Detroit at Young Men's Hall, June 7th to 12th, 1875 for the benefit of the Young Men's Christian Association and Home of the Friendless, Dairy, Home Messenger Cook-book, photographed and published by Jex Bardwell for the associations, copyright 1875, by Jex Bardwell."
