Front of three-story, brick Marine Hospital, viewed across lawn and circle drive. Porches across front on all three floors have arched openings. Flagpole in center of lawn. Also have print from negative. Handwritten on albumen print mat front: "U.S. Marine Hospital, Detroit." Handwritten on print mat back: "3770 E. Jefferson Ave. (1921 number); 1140 E. Jefferson Ave. (old number); S.W. cor. Mt. Elliott Ave."
