Yyf seo ȝeferæden mycel sy, syn ȝecorene of dan sylue ȝesustre, þa þe godes ȝewitnesse syn & halȝre drohnunȝe, & syn ȝesette teodinȝealdre, þa syn embhidiȝe and cariende embe hyre ealderscipes on eallum þingum æfter Godes beobodum & heore abbodesse hese. Syn þa ealdres swilce ȝecorene, þat se abbodesse hyre byrdena on hi todælen maȝe; ne syn hi ȝecorene be nanre endebyrdnesse, ac be lifes ȝeearnunge & wisdomes lare. Gyf heora hwilc þurh þane truwan hyre eal|derscipes ferinȝa toþint & hiȝ on modiȝnesse onhefd, & heo on þam leahtre byd onfunden to fornimende, sy hyre æne ȝestyred [folio 87a] & eft & þriddan syde; gyf heo þanne swa ne bete & rihlice, sy heo of dam ealderscipe aworpen, & oder sy on ȝesett, þe þæs weorde sy.
