History:

In the early to mid-1840s, Robert G. Rankin and his brother-in-law, a man named Freeland, established a cotton mill at Wiccopee, New York, near Fishkill. Charles M. Wolcott later owned the factory, and sold it to the New York Rubber Company in 1858.
