The Henry Stafford Little collection contains 7 personal letters that Little received from November 28, 1843-March 6, 1844. Six letters concern a friend's experiences in New York City. Little's correspondent, "George," mentioned studying medicine, attending church services, and calling on acquaintances; he also commented on the relative financial benefits of the medical profession over the legal profession and on medical procedures he had witnessed. Another acquaintance wrote to Little about social activities, acquaintances' news, and his plans to learn French at a new boarding house (November 28, 1843).
