Abraham Jewett was born around 1637. He had at least one brother, Joseph. Jewett lived in Rowley, Massachusetts, in the late 1600s, and worked as a shoemaker and tanner. On February 2, 1661, he married Ann Allen, daughter of Bozoon and Ann Allen. They had eight children: Deborah (b. 1664), Ann (1667-1715), William (b. ca. 1669), Mary (ca. 1672-ca. 1722), Bosoume (b. 1673), Abraham (1674-1722), Priscilla (b. ca. 1680), and Elizabeth (ca. 1688-1756). The elder Abraham Jewett died around 1694. His son Abraham also became a shoemaker, and lived in Rowley with his wife, Sarah Dorman. They had four children: Ruth (1704-1730), Anne (1705-1788), William (1707), and Abraham (1713-1736).
