Biography

Thomas Thaxter, a merchant, lived and worked at 68 Long Wharf, Boston, in the early 19th century. He oversaw shipments of foodstuffs, dry goods, and other products between Boston and numerous ports in the United States and Europe. His ailing parents lived in Hingham, Massachusetts.
