Biography

Jacob Frantz, an amateur meteorologist, lived in Pennsylvania between 1835 and 1855 and kept a record of weather patterns in a journal purchased from Reuben Chambers of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Frantz was also concerned with the prices of several crops, including corn, wheat, oats, and clover.
