Organizational History:

Middle Michigan Development Corporation incorporated in 1981, is a private, non-profit organization, governed by a 77-member Board of Directors and operated by professional staff. The Corp. provides coordinated and unifying economic development strategy for the Central Michigan Region. The Corp. has multiple partners. It is largely funded through fees of clients. Other revenues came from management agreements, grants, contracts, and 34 Corporate Sponsor contributors. The Corporation’s business development plan focuses on industrial retention, expansion and attraction programs, workplace development programs, and tax generation and economic diversification of the Central Michigan Region.
