Marvin C. Beach was the son of David Porter and Emma Beach of Amy and later, Troy, Michigan, Porter had at least two siblings, Miss Ceil (Cecilia?) Beach and Danford Beach, both of Birmingham, Michigan.
Porter and his wife had four children: Gertie A, Marvin C., Frank, and Edwin. Gertie attended Fenton Normal School and Commercial College in 1893. Soon afterwards Gertie moved to Grand Rapid, Michigan. By 1898, she married A.N. Sumerlin, an optometrist in Grand Rapids. She was alive in 1957.
Marvin C. Beach graduated from Pontiac High School in 1898. He later lived in Troy and Birmingham, Michigan. He was alive in 1957.
Frank lived in Grand Rapids after 1904. He worked at the Grand Rapids Refrigerator Company. Frank was alive in 1944. (This information is from the collection.)
