The records contain information on the College of Engineering and the Department of English, including the dissolution of the Department and Loomis' involvement in many committees on campus, and documentation of the Johnathan Marwil court case.

His papers document his research, his involvement in professional organizations, and his interest in and support of the University of Michigan School of Dentistry.
