Detroit based architect, active 1896-1942, founder of the firm Albert Kahn Associated Architects & Engineers, best known for his industrial design work including the Ford Motor Company's Highland Park and River Rouge plants; numerous commercial buildings in Detroit, the Fisher Building, Detroit Athletic Club and General Motors Building; and much of the University of Michigan's Central Campus, including Angell Hall, the Clements Library, Hill Auditorium and Willow Run Bomber Plant. The papers include correspondence, clipping files, photographs, and architectural drawings for 145 Kahn buildings.
