Translation
To Apollonios and Didymos, toparchy secretaries and village secretarues of the city of Oxyrhynchus, from Pausiris, son of Ammonios, of the Cavalry Camp Quarter. Since I wish to apprentice my son, a minor, that he may learn the art of weaving, from the present tenth year of Tiberius Claudius Caesar Augustus Germanicus Imperator, to the master weaver Apollonios, son of Apollonios, of the same Cavalry Camp Quarter, I therefore ask you to register my son in the list of apprentices of the said year, as is fitting. Farewell.
(2nd hand) I, Didymos, have affixed my signature. The tenth year of Tiberius Claudius Caesar Augustus Germanicus Imperator, Sebastos 19.
(3rd hand) I, Apollonios, have affixed my signature. The tenth year of Tiberius Claudius Caesar Augustus Germanicus Imperator, Sebastos 12.
