- The four columns of the Recto have an unusual widh of about 70 cm. - The writing is a small upright cursive, different from the Verso. (Boak)

II, abstract 8 records a contract of apprenticeship for the weaver's trade, registered on May 13, 42 A.D. (see also Verso, col. II, 12)

- On the 18th. Tasooukis, daughter of Theos, a Persian woman, about 49 years old, with a scar on the left hand, acting with her guardian, her son Orseus, son of Onnophris, about 27 years old, with a scar on the left arm, has apprenticed to Horos, son of Papontos, about 40 years old, with a scar on the left eyebrow, her son Papontos for the weaver's trade for five years from the month Neos Sebastos of the present year; to be fed and clothed by Horos, who also is to pay the dues of the weaver's tax on his behalf, while the poll-tax is a charge upon Tasooukis. (Tasooukis) has received the aforesaid 40 drachmai.
- Signatory: Ptolemaios, son of Chairemon, about 75 years old, with a scar above the left elbow.
