Day by day register of abstracts of the contracts recorded at the record-office (grapheion) of Tebtynis during the four last months of the 2nd year of the Emperor Claudius. - Col. II, abstract 6 records a sub-lease of 5 arourai of public land, registered on May 11, 42 A.D. (see also Verso, col. II, 10)

Translation
Hatres, son of Phanes, a Persian of the epigone, about 30 years old, having as a mark a mole by the left ear, has leased to Marsisouchos, son of Marepsemis, about 55 years old, with a scar on the right elbow, of the public land which he cultivates near Tebtynis five arourai or however many they may be, in one parcel, of the southern portion along the "Great Road", to be sown in barley for the coming third year of Tiberius Claudius Caesar Augustus Germanicus Imperator, and has received the rental and will guarantee against all public dues and those of every sort.
Signatory: Onnophris, son of Psosneus(?), about 40 years old, with a scar on his right eye-brow.
