- The present document was cut from a larger document which was written in four lines on a long strip of papyrus, (cf. verso, TC). It was folded from bottom to top, and a break goes through three folds, the largest lacuna being of course on the outer fold.
- Palaeographic Description
- The large lacuna on the outerfold obscures part of line 3. The remainder of the text is perfectly legible. The second hand, in large uncials, closely resembles the second hand in P. Mich. inv. 1300. (TC)

- "Our father it is who writes to his sons, the brethren of the poll-tax (saying) Lo, (there are) 4 sacks of Mena the sack-weaver; they have been received by me in respect of his poll-tax. So give him his receipt and see to them all and let them be made at the rate of 4 sacks to the half solidus. Pharmouthi 18, indiction 11. Giorgios.
