Translation
To Tiberius Claudius Androtimos, strategos of the Arsinoite nome, division of Herakleides, from Ammonios, son of Eirenaios, one of the state cultivators from Karanis. On the night before the 4th of Mecheir of the present 12th year of Nero Claudius Caesar Augustus Germanicus Imperator, certain persons made an attack on the cattle that I have grazing in the plain of Kerkesoucha, in the allotment of Harpaesis, son of Herakles, and drove off my red calf that is ready for butchering. Therefore I ask that a written order be sent to the hegoumenos of Karanis to make an investigation with me. Farewell.
(2nd hand) I, Ammonios, son of Eirenaios, have presented the aforesaid petition.
(1st hand) The 12th year of Nero Claudius Caesar Augustus Germanicus Imperator. Mecheir(?).
