Gaius] Aurelius Chairemonianos, [. . . years old, with a scar - - -, and - - Aurelius, . . years old, with a scar - -] of the left foot, both [sons of - - -, acknowledge to Valeria Helenous, about] fifty [years old], with a scar on the [. . .] shin, [with her guardian - - -, about] forty-five [years old, with a scar - -, that they have sold to her, Valeria] Helenous, according to this agreement, [from the present unto all time the two slaves that belong to them, that is] Eutyches, about thirty years old [- - - and Isidoros - - -] . . . of Isis, concerning which slave [they have made] the declaration [- - - in the present] day, while Eutyches is [- - -] from their mother Claudia Isidora [also called Apia(?) - - -, slaves] which Valeria Helenous has received [just as they are and unrenounceable, free from epilepsy and external claims; and that they have received] from Valeria Helenous the [price mutually agreed upon in full from hand to hand, that is, for Isidoros, . . . drachmai], and for Eutyches, eight-hundred [. . .] drachmai; [and that they, Gaius Aurelius Chairemonianos and his brother, - - -] Aurelius, and their representatives [will guarantee] with every guarantee to Valeria [Helenous and her representatives the two slaves sold as aforesaid], Isidoros and Eutyches, [and will deliver them unencumbered, not liable to distraint, free of lien, and clear] of every public obligation from the past until the present day, and from private debts and every] claim forever, [nobody having a claim on them or on part of them; and that she and her representatives have possession and ownership on the two] slaves sold to her as aforesaid,[ Isidoros and Eutyches, to use and manage] in any way she may choose. [If they don'tguarantee them or don't deliver them clear (of obligations) as aforesaid or if they] transgress [any of the aforementioned conditions], let them pay to Valeria [Helenous] the price that they have received and the damage and expenses and a penalty of . . . drachmai. The sellers, Gaius Aurelius Chairemonianos and Aurelius asked the formal question, whether] this transaction had been correctly and accurately [done, and the buyer], Valeria Helenous, so declared. (2nd hand) We, Gaius Aurelius [Chairemonianos and Aurelius, both sons of - - -, have sold to Valeria Helenous] the two slaves Eutyches and Isidoros, who are free from epilepsy and external claims, and we have received from her], from hand to hand, [the price for them, that is - - -] and sixty [drachmai], and we guarantee with every [guarantee - - -.
