Request sent by the office of the kourepistoularios (officer in charge of the correspondence) of the governor of the province of Arcadia to officials of Oxyrhynchus, to compel a certain Dionysios, acting logistes of the city, to dispatch garlands from the public market at Herakleopolis, probably for the celebration of New Year's Day

(1st hand) (Cross) Office of the curator of the letters of his eminence my lord, vir spectabilis, comes of the sacred consistory, governor of the province of Arcadia, to the ekdikos and ripiarii of the Oxyrhynchite (nome).
(2nd hand) When you receive this letter, please compel Dionysios, who is deputy logistes of (the city) of the Oxyrhynchites, to dispatch at his own risk wreaths from the public market of Herakleopolis - the price of which he is also to deliver in full to this office - and no less compel also Philoxenos, the protodemotes and . . ., so that the baskets of the . . . [- - -]
