Translation
[- - -] the earth bears flourishing [trees]
[- - - whose] divine fragrance is wafted
[- - -] abroad from the holy, many-ridged [Olympus]
[- - - in the precinct] of far-darting Apollo
[- - -] wedded to Achelous
[- - - Boreas] and Notus at the ends of the earth
[- - - for whom destiny] puts an end for a time to their glorious youth
[- - - but when] Notus [casts] his warmth abroad and cold departs
[- - -] veiled [women], but back to the earth
[- - -] but then the pure mothers
[- - -] shake their fair tresses
[- - -] the nymphs clad in shining raiment
[- - - came] to tender-browed Hippothoe
[- - -] and Hera of the golden sandals
[- - - grandsons] in the starry heaven
[- - - and as the gods who live] with a heart free from care
[- - - Poseidon] the shaker of earth, the ruler of deep
[- - -] kindly Amphitrite
