Coiled one rod basket tube which was coated on the outside with a carefully fitted mosaic of 1500 turquoise pieces, orange colored rodent teeth ground down to fit, red argillite rectangles and a few narrow black stone inlays. May have been used as ornamental arm bands.

Straight, slightly rounded length of shaped, polished bone used as a septum plug. Lengths of brown thread are wrapped around the bone near each end. Ends are sharp. Bone is stained slightly yellow with age.

Description
PERFORATED DEER PHALANGEAL CONES: An interesting bead was made from the deer's phalangeal bones. The bones were used in both prehistoric and early historic times. These may have been part of a cup and pin game. Approximate age is 1500. Location - Richmond Mills Site, Ontario, New York. Dimensions of these beads are from 3 cm to 4 cm by 1.5 cm.
