Started in 1974 when renown choral director, Dr. Eva Jessye, donated her large collection of papers, manuscripts, scores, letters and memorabilia to the Black Music Student Association, the Collection has grown into two distinct areas: The Eva Jessye Collection, The Maxwell O. Reade Collection of Early Jazz and Blues Recordings.
